New motherboard fitted - BIOS need changing?

Friend's PC has had a new motherboard fitted (by husband) that the manufacturer HP sent under warranty. Now a message comes up at boot requiring F1 to continue. Don't know exactly what message says, just 'something' not found. Then it boots normally.

Does the BIOS need updating with the new M/B details, eg. serial number?

Enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing DEL, F1 or F2 early in the boot sequence) and look for the option to Load Default Settings. You'll probably also have to set the time and date if you haven't already done this. Having loading the defaults, Exit and Save Settings.
If there is no improvement then we really need to know the full message about what isn't being found.
