My Asus mobo is getting on so I'm looking to upgrade my PC with a new one. Main reason is to get a more modern Graphic's card to play games

I currently have a Radeon9700pro(AGP)I already have a 500w cpu installed.

I've looked at a number of mobo's bundles on Novotech etc, I have a budget of around £200-£300 to spend and would like dual core if possible and a half decent card.

What sort of spec would you need to play most of today's modern games?.

Cheers
Brian

Any advice is welcome

Games nowadays are so mixed. Are you intending to play a CDROM or DVDROM purchased game or just them online games. Online games are not too demanding.

Brothers in arms or Call of duty are my prefs.

Don't forget to factor in the cost of a better PSU too. You'll need a good quality 500W min PSU with at least one dedicated 6-pin PCI-E connector. G
