Hi guys just downloaded the new microsoft free anti virus and malware program and run it. Ok for a wile then the small blue catsle icon in the bottom right of the screen changed to a green shield and propted registration and payment. if you try to get around it it then says you are being attacked from god knows were and propmts payment. Have removed it I hope but it is clearly pushed forward as free but it seems not so but why Im asking is that sort of behaviour Ive seem before with rogue programs, can anyone advise on this many thanks

It`s free to download and use on a genuine Windows OS machine: click here

You couldn't have downloaded the genuine programme. The 'blue castle icon' is normally green - changes to amber when action is required. Only get the programme from provider's link. You definately picked up a nasty and it would be worth running Malwarebytes to check.
