New Log in Event viewer - ACEEventLog

  powerless 22:23 10 Sep 2004

Where did this come from, XP SP2 or .NET 1.1 SP1?

Having a look at the logs:

10/09/2004 19:57:08 --- [Domain]: Runtime.Component --- [Type]: Error --- [Assembly]: CLI.Component.Runtime, Version=1.0.1698.24167, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e --- [Namespace]: ATI.ACE.CLI.Component.Runtime.Runtime --- [Method]: .ctor --- [Message]: No languages defined

Me thinks to do with the framework.

Any ideas on what it's about?

Powerless, I can confirm your suspicions in that it is a component of the .NET framework s/w as I have had ACEEventLog appear in my event viewer after installing the .NET s/w and the service pack.

As to what it means, your obviously running some program that makes use of the .NET framework s/w but as to the specifics of the log, hopefully someone will be able to provide you with some more info.

Powerless, I did have the ATI Catalyst Control Centre installed.

I uninstalled it, and since doing this, there have been no more items added to the ACEEventLog.

P.S.I found the be buggy and resource hungry. My bootup/shutdown times also took a lot longer. There wasn't that much additional funtionality in it to justify keeping it running.
