New Hard Drive fitted as secondary drive

Hi. I've just installed a new Maxtor 160 DiamondMax10 7200 Hard drive,as a secondary drive.
I divided it into two partitions 130 and 30 respectively. However I can only see one partition of 125 GB in My Computer. Can anyone suggest whats happened to my other 30 GB partition? Any help much appreciated. Hecate

The 30gb will need to be formated. Go to My Computer, Control panel, administrative tools, computer management then click disk management. Here you can format the remainder of the drive. You will have to give it a Letter for example the primary drive will be C then D for the partition.

Have you formatted it and allocated it a drive letter yet? (in Disk Management in XP).

Are you sure the BIOS recognised it all? - drives over 127GB have problems in some systems.
