my friend has just bought a new geforce fx 5200 128mb ddr pci card (he had an ati radeon 7000 64 mb card) and his computer crashes everytime he plays a game ( any game )
is it the psu that is the problem or have you any ideas?

When your friend installed the Nvidia card did he un-install all of the ATI drivers and utilities. You can get the ATI removal tool from click here , He might have to un-install his card and the reinstall it. Also check he is using the latest drivers and Direct X9.
He may also have to update his motherboard drivers as well.

If you do not un-install the drivers it causes all sorts of conflicts.

You said it is a PCI card, if he goes into the BIOS and sets the adaptor to check for PCI graphic card first and not AGP.

he doesn't have an agp slot, thats why he is using a pci graphics card.his old graphics card was also a pci card and that works fine.
