I am fitting a new hard drive and want to install win 7 premium, the old drive is no longer available, which edition of 7 should I install?
It will depend on your system how much Memory you have and what you need it for.
I'm quite happy with home premium but here's a list, click hereMore info and a link to check compatibility with hardware and software; click hereAlso suggest you download drivers for your PC from the manufacturers site for Win 7 if possible.
Also look at the better comparison list at click here.I agree about Home Premium being enough, & is for the majority of users.Do you need just the one copy of Win7?See my post in this recent past thread click here as well. G
So will an upgrade disk install onto a drive that does not have an os installed on it?
Yes click here
Many thanks to all your replies, ALL my questions have been answered, I just love this site. Best wishes to you all, Terry.
