new cable for laptop

i have an e-sysytems laptop and my cable that plugs into the side to give it power seems to be faulty, if i dont have it in a certain postion it wont turn on ,and im there for ages fiddling around with it till it turns on. so i was thinking of buying a new cable but dont know where to get one from or how much they are , does anyone know

May be a bad connection on your motherboard.

I would imagine if you Googled for it and just put cable for [then add make and model number] and see what it comes up with.

Sounds like the socket is loose on the motherboard as buteman says. (Does it feel slack with more than 3mm of movement?) Easily done on some models but expensive to repair. Suggest you take it to a local repair shop and ask them for a diagnosis and a quote. Fiddling around will eventually break it and probably cause a short circuit that will destroy the motherboard.

my model says e-systems 1600 no doesnt feel slack ,
