New Anti-Spyware approach?

  Probabilitydrive 18:36 09 Nov 2006

i'm using PC Tools Spyware Doctor and I found it very user friendly and uncomplicated.

But as nasties are evolving, ever more elaborate methods are necessary to hold the evil forces in check. I just came accross this article click here which indicates yet another approach. I just fear, that user-friendliness is beeing compromised in all of this...

I just use AVG free, a little common sense and windows defender and have no problems at all. A lot of infections that I see are self inflicted and cannot be stopped by firewalls etc. As for the article...sledgehammer+crack+small nut.
