Networking through a belkin router

Hi all. First post, so pls be gentle!

At home, I have a desktop pc and 2 laptops. The desktop pc and one laptop are hard wired into a belkin router for internet use. The other laptop is wirelessly connected to the router (again for internet usage).

This has been working fine for 6 months (purely for internet use) however I now want to start sharing files across the network. I have allowed file sharing on the folders I want to, but the problem seems to be that none of the computers seem to be able to view each other on the network? When I go into 'My network places' the only things in there are the folders I have 'shared' on that particular computer (i.e. nothing from any of the other computers is visable)

Have I got to do something with the router settings?

Any help is appreciated!!

Thought I'd just say that I'm using XP on all machines.
