I tried for months to get my Epson D88 on a host PC to be available over a wireless network to 2 laptops. File sharing was up and running and documents could be shared. The laptops could see the printer and load the driver. They could send the document to be printed and it arrived at the host PC where it stayed stuck in the print queue under Guest blocking all other print tasks. The Guest network account was activated. All Firewall possibilities were examined. This is using Windows XP Pro and XP Home.
I finally found out the problem. Open the Epson D88's properties, Printing Preferences, Maintenance Tab - click on Speed & Progress - then on monitoring preference and ticked the box marked "allow monitoring of shared printers". It now was properly networked.
Hope that this helps anyone else with the same problem.
