I'm not new to computers and am ok, i think on peer to peer networking. But need to know more on general networking, any books i should read, or websites to visit?

Cheers in advance for any help.

I'll move this to the Networking forum, as you may find there are forum members there who can provide you with some suggestions.

A difficult question to answer, because there are so many books, raging from the "Dummies Guide" series to those that delight in describing TCP/IP stacks, network layers etc in great detail.

My best suggestion is that you go to a local bookshop and browse their stock until you find one who's style suits you, since readability is as important as technical content.

Similarly for websites - put something like "basic networking", networking basics" etc in Google and find one whose content and style suits.
