I have a ADSL modem with built in router(Belkin)
Want to network Desktop & laptop (both Win XP)
Ping works fine both ways as does internet connection.
Laptop can access desktop files.
Desktop can see laptop in network places but when you try to open folders I get the following error,
"NOT ENOUGH SERVER STORAGE IS AVAILABLE TO PROCESS THIS COMMAND".
Spoke to belkin and they say its the PC people,Spoke to the PC people and guess what they said, "its belkin".
Have asked microsoft, "they have no idea"
Can anyone help before I get the hammer out in frustration

Specs of the host might help and also the laptop. Which way do you get the problem is it when you try to open laptop files with the desktop pc or the otherway round?

I would do a google search on this there is alot of interesting things about your problem. You may start here but I would research further before attemping to mess with registry. Some say RAM ,registry, nortan anti virus, or recent program install....
