Network Problem

  [email protected]#36 12:33 08 Jan 2004

I have two PCs (mine & a colleague)located in defferent parts of a small Hotel, linked via a network cable.
My colleague and I have no problems sharing word and excel files using my PC as a 'server' however if I download e-mails (using outlook)then my colleague can not read them and vice versa as the e-mail is downloaded onto the individual PC.
Is there a way of sharing the outlook account so that we can both see the same thing i.e. all the e-mails that come in to the Hotel.
I am using XP home.

The only way is for each of you to email copies to one another.

You can leave a copy of the message on the server so that your colleague can download it him/herself.

Go to tools options Mail setup
Click on email accounts

Under Email select "view or change existing email accounts"
Next page go to "Change" after selecting your email account
and then to "more settings"

Now in that window go to Advanced and tick "leave a copy of messages in server"

or move them into a local folder that you each have access to,
