I keep getting 'Unidentified Network' on start up on my pc which then can take up to 20 mins to hook up with the BT HomeHub router via ethernet cable. This is a recent problem - all has been fine for ages. The router is fine as I get no problem with wifi connection to a laptop or mobile phone. There doesn't appear to be a driver issue with the network adaptor and there are no issues flagged in the device manager.Uninstalling and reinstalling the network adaptor makes no differnce either.Any pointers guys?
Purely for elimination purposes, I would try plugging your existing ethernet cable into a different port in the router. If that makes no difference, try a different ethernet cable.
Hi Pineman - thanks for the suggestion - I have now found the culprit - the ethernet cable as you suggest. Many thanks!
