Netgear-DG834Gv4 Schedule / Firewall Rules Problem

Hi all, got a Netgear-DG834Gv4 and have our main PC through CAT5 onto port 1 on the router. The kids have 2 PC's connected wireless to the router, all clients with static ip's (for NAT / port forwarding purposes).

Basically i'm wanting internet on the wireless clients from 18:00 > 21:00 Mon > Thu then unlimited access from Fri 18:00 > Sun 21:00.

I have created a couple of firewall rules to restrict the kids from using the internet before 18:00 and after 21:00 on weekdays so they can get homework etc done, otherwise, they sit on the internet 24/7.

When friday evening comes, 192.168.0.4 cannot connect to the router although the rule states that it should allow after 18:00 as i have created a BLOCK by schedule, otherwise Allow.

I've tried to create an ALLOW by schedule, starting at 18:00 and ending at 21:00 but 192.168.0.4 can't connect..!?!

If you want a look, here are screendumps of my current schedule, see if i done anything wrong...

any help, thanks in advance

Have you tried adding an entry for inbound always allow for 192.168.0.4?

tnx for reply, it works fine mon > thu, but on a friday i can't connect.

192.168.0.3 connects fine without any inbound rules for TCP which i only create for applications that really need it (eg: remote desktop 3389) as i don't want any security breaches and have NAT enabled.

I'm thinking about changing the WLAN card as it's quite old although 54mb (g) compatible.

hi again, right, i've got 0.4 connecting now but i've had to change the rules to block http (port 80) only as it was stopping windows live messenger from signing in at any time 24/7.

I've noticed that i have to hard reboot router to apply settings.

Possibly i'll have to wait for a firmware update for this router also...

thanks.
