I have the above router and I want to hook it up to a Telewest (Virgin) broadband onnection. The CD I hae is for Windows XP and the laptop I wish to use is on Vista. I try to download from the attached link which I think has the update for Vista I am looking for and it will not download. Any idea where I can get this:

I assume I need this for Vista?

If I remember correctly , wasn't Telewest a cable broadband company , later taken over by Virgin ? If this is a cable connection the Netgear DG834GT won't work for you , it needs an ADSL connection through a conventional phone line . Instead you need a wireless router ONLY , without a built-in modem .

But surely the Netgear DG834GT is a wireless router?

It's an ADSL modem/router made to work with an ADSL signal through a phone line , if you have cable you need a wireless router without a built in modem eg. Netgear WGR614 .
