I want to set up a network between 2 PCs both running XP.
ATM all I need is to get on the internet from either PC.
The PC with internet access is fitted with a RJ45 on something called a 1394. No Idea what that is.
Can I use this 1394 RJ45 to connect to the network card on the other PC

PC 1 = AMD64 3400+
PC 2 = AMD T / Bird
Thanks for any help BTW if I left out any required info please let me know

1394 is a firewire port, so you can't use with the RJ45.....

Easy option is to go and buy a cross-over cable and connect the two PCs using the RJ45 ports on both PCs and then run the Network Wizard.

Note: Make sure it's a cross-over and not a patch cable you use if your connecting the PCs directly.

Thanks selfbuild I'll get this cross-over cable sorted some time Monday
