Net Messenger Service

Each time I start my computer and click on Internet Explorer an annoying message pops up at the right hand side of the taskbar saying "You have been signed out of Net Messenger because you signed out at another location".

I only use this computer, so can anyone tell me why I might keep getting this message, and how I can prevent it from popping up in future.

Net Messenger Service is MSN Messenger. If you use this service, you may not have logged out fully?

If you are using MSN and Windows messenger then it will sign you out of one when you log in to another,to stop the message uninstall windows messenger if you dont use it.

Thanks recap and ACOLYTE for your prompt responses. I have never used Windows Messenger, so I have uninstalled it as suggested and the annoying message has gone. Thanks again.
