Nero 6 Original or Copy

I am interested in buying a copy of Nero 6 and have been looking on ebay. There are many versions for around £10.00. They all say that they are original versions but they appear so cheap.

Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is so cheap?

I would suggest that your cynicism is rightly placed. - It was the same with Norton AV with copies available at £10 or so - all would have been copies.

Not necessarily so - BigPockets or SVP (can't remember which one) used to sell Nero for around £5 at one time last year.

This was one thread detailing the offer (just over £6, but more than likely sold out now!)

Thanks guys. I guess my only question is would an OEM version work with my CDRW drive. Is there any way of checking?

The real cost for a software is licence, not CD. So, it may not be a good idea to buy 2nd hand software in case someone installed (or copied) it and sell it on. It is difficult to determine who owns licence. So, if you have to buy 2nd hand, make sure you buy the licence not just the CD.

I don't have any problem using the OEM CD with my CD/RW. I got it from SVP as recommended above. It is still available now £4.98 plus postage £1.20.
It come comes complete with licence number, so don't throw the envelope it comes in away. The licence number is on the back.
