Neighbour's wireless router disables mine

I have a Realtek RTL8139 wireless router connected to my desktop and my laptop has been connecting to it (via wireless) quite happily for months now.

However, the guy two doors down has now gone wireles and when he has it switched on my laptop sees only his connection and not my realtek wireless network.

I'd be very grateful if anyone has any ideas how I can get round this. Thanks in advance.

You could always go and have a quick chat with him to arrange for you both to have your routers on different channels.

Alternatively, just change the channel that your router is transmitting on (normally found in the setup page and will go from 1 - 12).
