Negative colours on monitor

My 6 year old Samsung Syncmaster 151D 15" flat screen TFT monitor works for a while then starts to flicker and eventually all colours go negative so I cannot read anything. It does the same in another PC. Does this mean it needs changing or can I resolve it myself?

Sounds like it's time for a new monitor. Given that it's the same when conected to a diff pc then that negates the graphics card.
It would be cheaper to get a new monitor than trying to get the old one repaired, I doubt there is anything you can do to it that would resolve the problem.

I agree with Jak_1's diagnosis, prykie. Pretty decent monitors can be bought for less than £100 nowadays.
