Laptops are normally not upgradable as far as cpus are concerned.

Bigger HDD or more ram and that is normally the limit for upgrading a laptop.

It is a given, that about the only changes you can make to a Laptop are the RAM and The Hard Drive.

I am sure that CPUs have been replaced, in Laptops, by computer tyros, but the risk of damage, to the other components, is high and the potential for gain is so vanishingly small, that one is better of saving for a new model..
