fruit bat your line failed too, but thanks for offering, vog I have abandoned my original trail and will try your simply guides version, hold you breath for the next hour or so.vog i have copied the sp2 disc to the c drive do i extract the xpsp2 files within the folder at this stage?
any help on this last point please.
Depending on your compression program, just drag the xpsp2.exe into that and extract them that way, saves all that command line stuff. 7zip, izarc, winrar, winzip should support that method, im sure other programs do.
brundle thanks, i'm ill with migraine now i'll try again tomorrow now.
Have you been attempting the same slipstreaming instructions as me? click hereTo date no-one has interpreted the command instruction correctly, i.e. one that works! I must confess I haven't tried Fruit Bat /\0/\,s backslash.
