Need help with my PC upgrade

  kikuta 15:54 28 Oct 2007

Im looking to upgrade my PC which ive had for two years now, as i use it for playing games a fair bit and whilst ive never had it on full graphics its always been playable with everything ive bought.
However in all aspects my PC has become slower over the last two years and despite regular clean ups and degragmentations etc, its becoming slower still.

I want to buy another gig of DDR2 RAM, and possibly an external hard drive to dump some of the data on to speed it back up again. However Im not sure where to start here - there seem to be thousands of different options when buying RAM.
Im looking for a gig of budget RAM thats compatible with my current stuff. CPUZ tells me that I have this:
1024 Mbytes DDR2 dual channel RAM at:
Frequency: 199.5 MHZ

Theres some more stuff about clocks but i think thats the important bit.
could someone please help me with what i should get?
Thanks all!

I'd second that. Buying from Crucial is a reassuring experience. If they recommend it and it doesn't work, they'll replace it no questions asked
