need to convert image file

  dirt 20:37 21 Jul 2007

ages ago i scanned my sisters wedding pics at high res using paperport and then saved to cd.
years later my family wants prints and paperport saved files with a .max file extension (which i should've noticed).
to be able to go into boots or whatever and print from disks they require jpeg extension so i need to convert files from .max to .jpeg.
i have looked and tried but to no avail.
i don't have paperport anymore. where can i get software to convert....oh and at no cost......just a trial will do.
any links or suggestions would be most welcome.

ok thanx again for replying so quickly.
your link woody was good but i have another problem.
the file size of each pic i have is large!!!
and any click on the screen of any kind disrupts everything.
i need something where i can select a file and convert it without having to view the file before and convert.
any thoughts?

Try this. Right click immage and use "open with". Click on "paint". Click on File and click on "save as". In paint and in the "save as type" box, save as Jpeg....etc.

In the Page Plus Veiwer, Can you zoom down then press print screen button and paste to you Photo Edit program?

Hi dirt - I have a Driver/Utility disc belonging to a now defunct Brother All-In-One which has PaperPort 9 SE on it.

If this is any use to you then contact me through the envelope and I'll post it off to you in the morning.

dirt, I lifted this from another Forum:

In PaperPort:
1. click File/Import and select the .Max file
this will put the pic on the PaperPort desktop
2. Right click on the pic, then select Export
supply the folder and filename to save the .JPG file

So the offer from sebiven seems to be a good start!
