Thanks for the reply
I have updated the drivers which say they work with Windows Vista, but they do not work with the 64 bit version of Vista

Can anyone advise me which nas drives will work with Vista Business 64 bit

Once a device is connected to a router it's nothing to do with the OS surely ? Routers communicate with devices using networking protocols.
When you connect a NAS to a router it will get an address and become part of the network. You should see it in network places.

I tried a netgear SC101 and SC101T which says you have to install the supplied or updated software on each pc you wish to access the nas drive. altough the updated software says it supports Vista is does not support Vista 64 bit. Like SouthernComfort says I thought it was down to network protocols. but according to netgear's own site these drives wont work with Vista 64 bit and a number of other OS's.
So before I buy another drive has anyone succefully used a NAS Drive with Vista business 64 bit and which one?
