Hello to everyone-some advice needed, my sister has one of my ex-computers quite a powerful system, 60gb hd, 64 graphics, 512 memory, dvd, cd-writer, etc. It worked fine at first, lately though these two things have started happening: checksun values is one that comes up when pc starts to boot. The other is that after getting through part of the win xp load screen a blue screen comes up with this: "unmountable boot volume". Can anyone tell me what these two things mean?

TIA-belcanto

checksum = Bios losing its settings, try a new motherboard battery.

unmountable boot volume = hard disk problems you need to run checkdisk
