You say the monitor comes on, does it get it's power from the pc or has it it's own plug?

  winstonwolf 19:25 23 Nov 2004

it has its own plug , the only difference is that i'm in france with an american pc , and have had to use a transformer and have plugs and connectors coming out my ears , as far as i can see they all ok

Are you able to check the voltage at the PC connector, after the transformer, with a multimeter?

If there is correct voltage there then I'm afraid your power supply unit, in the PC, has gone down.

Hope this helps, good luck.
