My Pc says my virtual memory is too low pls help!!

Hello my PC continues to display the message that my virtual memory is too low, and i dont know why. My ppc currently has 2GB RAM installed(512 x 2)...I just need to know how to rectify the problem. pls help!!

Hi moorie...not too sure what tasks to be exact...maybe i had a few webpages open, and i was using msn messenger as well...i've clicked the button and the warning has gone for now...

Do all the usual antivirus and spyware scans first, julius44, make sure there are no nasties on your computer.

By default, with 2GB of RAM, julius44'S Pagefile will be large as it is, Rdave13. I really think scanning for viruses and spyware should be the first port of call.

Hello All, thanks for the advice, ive just scanned with Kaspersky internet security 6.0. and it says no threats detected. so now i need to know what to do next,..BUT the mesaage is no longer showing....my computer memory is 1GB of RAM, and my hard disk drive is 160GB, for which so far i've ONLY used 33.4GB.....and it tells me i have 112GB free hard drive space. so what do i do now pls???
