My PC doesn't agree with games?

First off, here's the specs: Asus M5A97 motherboard/ 8gb RAM/ AMD FX-8120 eight core processor/ Nvidia 750 ti GPU/ 500gb harddrive/ Diablotek 450w power supply/ Currently being used on an LG hdtv

It seems that every time I play a game on this pc, there ends up being some sort of problem. Sometimes crashes, sometimes it gets choppy, screen tearing (even after limiting the FPS to 30), and on occasion a recently downloaded game won't even make it to te title screen. Any tips on what could be causing these problems would be greatly appreciated, and any extra details you might need, ask away.

My immediate thought is that your graphics card may not be able to cope with the amount of data being generated by the games. Check the spec of the graphics card against the minimum requirements for the game.

My graphics card far exceeds the requirements for the games I'm playing
