My Money 2005

I upgraded from the 2001 version last year. No problem with current stuff but I am unable to open the back ups either on the hard drive or on the floppy back up. Neither can I open any archived records. I'm using XP which was an upgrade from ME. I get the message that the file is not a valid Win32 application. Any ideas, please?

Right click on one of the files you can't open, choose Properties and make sure "Opens With" is Microsoft Money Import Handler.

Thanks for the suggestion but Properties is already showing as opens with My Money and has the little white M symbol inside a blue circle. However, I notice the archived and back-up files do not have this Money symbol - it has the one that looks like a page of blue lines, the top right corner turned over, another colored (mainly yellow) symbol top left and a sloping red "A" at bottom right.

Can't you change the archived files and backup files to open with Money? I'm sorry I don't know the icons you describe
