Hello, my pc works ok for a while then all of a sudden the graphics go all fuzzy. This is like blocks of squares and lines which move like a bad fuzzy tv channel.Sometimes this start in a minute or so and another time it takes much longer up to an hour after turning on my pc.
I have run anti-virus and anti-spam which indercate no problems.
The pc is about 3 to 4 years old, running XP.
I have formated the hard drive but still have the problem.
Please could somebody help me,regards Melly.

What graphics card have got?
Are the drivers up to date?
Your card may be knackered.

Does the graphics card have a fan and if so is it still spinning? It sounds as if the card is overheating.

Thanks BD,my card has no fan on it,took the card out and gave it a clean just after switching off my pc and the card didn't seem that hot just a little warm.Inside my pc there are 2 other fans which are working ok.If it is likely that the card needs replacing how do i know which cards fit my motherboard
Regards Melly
