Not an earth shattering problem, I know. But when I hover my mouse over the clock the date no longer appears.I rely on this, so please help!I'm not techie - so baby steps and plain English please.Windows XP Home, in case this is relevant. Thanks in advance.
If you know when the problem started to occur, try a System Restore to before that time
Thanks I'll try that.
Nope didn't work.
Try Tclockx : click heredate, time, day, calender, etc all from the same area!HTHPaul
I presumed you've double clicked on the time and checked the Settings panel? This is the reverse of what you require:Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEKey: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ExplorerName: HideClockType: REG_DWORDValue: 1 Hide Or go to click here and scroll down to number 320 and then download the right hand panel link: "Clock: Day/Month/Date/Year/Time"Note the instructions at the top of the page re downloading and saving the Regedit.
I mentioned the "reverse of what you require" in case this might, for some unknown reason, been inadvertently done...
Nice one, just dowloaded it. I have a similar problem on one machine, often the date gets itself behind the taskbar, no idea why, but this will cure it. Thanks.
Nice to have helped!Paul
Thanks stuart - that sorted it!I am a daft old bat and I need a reliable source to tell me the day of the week! Many thanks.I am just so grateful this site exists.Ethel
