I have a compaq s4020wm with a(462) pin Athlon XP 2400+ 2.0 GHz, that has a fsb of 100/133 and the am37 motherboard is fried, i am wanting to replace it with a VIA KT266 (3GB DDR) 266MHz FSB Socket A w/SOUND/AGP/PCI/ACR - ATX NEW; SUPPORT ATHLON XP/DURON 266MHz FSB CPUs - NEW socket A 462, one problem, i'm wondering will the 100/133mhz and the 266mhz be a problem, i know that the fsb has to do witht he cpu communication with the ram witch inturn faster the fsb faster the cpu, will it be ok. any help will be great.

Hi pcbear. It looks ok to me. I presume that your memory is PC2100 DDR. The confusion is because the FSB speed is 133MHz, but because DDR memory is clocked on both the rising and falling edges of the clock pulse it is effectively 266MHz.
