MW Snap 3

  Ray5776 21:50 20 Jul 2006

Trying out MW Snap 3 software, you can take a picture of the whole screen or part of it and print it out or mail it etc.
The problem I have is that I can never find it, I am either not saving it or it is saved using a name or location unknown to me.

Any suggestions please.

It is probably on the clipboard. Open Paint and press CTRL + V.

Thanks VoG but it is not there. I do not think that I have saved it in the first place.
Once I take a screenshot there is a click (indicating a camera shutter noise) but there is no save button that I can see nor have I any idea where the image has been put or if it has been put anyware at all.

Ray5776.. have you tried search (mw images) or (mw snap 3 ) but of course you will need to save the images in file.

Just tried it again, snap the whole desktop (lovely shutter noise)
C/Program files/MW Snap, not there! or in paint.
I am either not saving it or it is being put where I cant find it.
Has anyone tried this program who can tell me what I am doing wrong.

This isn’t a product I’m familiar with, but I gather it saves in a bunch of different formats. So, do a wildcard search for whichever you were using for today’s date. Eg; *.jpg or *.bmp or whatnot.

Another thought is that you may have it defaulted to save as a .bmp. Taking a cap of your entire desktop with that could be producing a file size your machine can’t handle. Try a smaller selection and saving as a .jpg.

Ray you need to goto tools/settings/snapping/Auto copy snapped image to clipboard.

Tools/settings/autosaving/tick auto saving is active/apply/ok

You can change the format to almost anything, something jpeg would do i expect.

Saved location: C:\Program Files\MWSnap
I suggest you change that to My documents

Hope this helps

Note the location you are looking according to your post C/Program files/MW Snap Thu, [email protected]:46

Should read: C:\Program Files\MWSnap

Minor detail im sure Ray
