I have a music CD, and it constantly jumps on one track. I have cleaned the disc and used varios types of play back machine. I was just wondering that, if i make a copy (for my own use) with a program , will i be able to edit out the jumpy bits ?????.

Can someone sugest a suitable programme that will be suitable (a free one would be idael, as it is only one CD ). Alan

Hi roygbiv!

Try click here it's shareware, but I believe it's still free for 30 days. You can record all the tracks as one lomg stream and then select individual tracks as required, save to your HDD as wav files and then burn your CD.

If you are using Nero to burn, there's a wave editor in that which will do the same.

Hope this helps, Toxin.
