This may have been covered before but.. I want to burn music CD's either from composites of existing CD's via my computer or via external sources. I'm ok on the capture side of things - Sound card is SB X-Fi.(Dual Processor. Win XP Pro) a) What is the reccomended capture format ? b) What is the best burning format for discs to replay on a typical CD player such as a combined CD/Radio? My grandchildren use MP3 and the equivalent iPod format but does this play on CD players? Also what compression is reccomended for normal as opposed to extreme hi fi use?

best either burning as a audio cd or wav format
