Multiple emails driving me mad

I am using Thunderbird 3 and have used previous versions for years without any problems but this version is driving me up the wall. I am used to reading emails, saving any I want to keep and deleting the rest - that used to be the end of them but now, however many times I delete them they keep appearing and the number is growing alamingly - around 1,000 odd! Any suggestions please before I find a friendlier program as I'm almost afraid to turn it on.

Stay away from my first click here just started running A squared and it has come up with 20 problems for Guardian Monitor 9.'7 A2 not sure what it is yet but will try to find out.

  birdface 19:57 21 Mar 2010

Only traces so not sure.
Downloaded an update to Incredimail today and also set incredimail to open e-mails from Windows Live mail so not sure if it is leftovers from that or not.
This is what the scan say's if anybody worried about my click here.

Buteman.

Yes, got 9 very similar little problems on doing a full scan with Super anti spyware.

  birdface 20:40 21 Mar 2010

Malwarebytes and AVG find nothing only A squared and they tend to through up the odd false positives.
Since I tried to open my click here i find that I can no longer open any click here's so looks like another little problem.

Ebonytiger.
Mailwasher is used by many on this forum but it looks like it may have been a bad website that I visited but AVG link scanner gave it as a good site.
Sorry for messing up your thread But i will contact the FE and see if he will remove my click here just to be in the safe side.

  birdface 21:31 21 Mar 2010

FE informed but he is not available just now.
So just a matter of staying away from the click here to be in the safe side.

I wonder if you have ticked a box for the setting leave e-mails on the server. Although you will be deleting them on your PC they may still be around on the server. I don't use Thunderbird but someone who does may be able to advise about these settings.

  Sea Urchin 22:49 21 Mar 2010

Shows you how to leave messages on the server in Thunderbird - so in your case you should untick that box
