Multi OS bootlogging with Wireless Keyboard/Mouse

I have a bit of a dilemma! I have installed SUSE Linux 10.2 alongside XP Home on my computer. Suse 10.2 comes with it's own bootlogger which prompts you to decide which OS you want during BIOS. The default is Linux. You must use the keyboard to move down to choose Windows XP within a short time frame (few seconds) otherwise Linux boots.

My problem is I now have a wireless keyboard which cannot be operated until the USB receiver starts AFTER the OS boots up. In otherwords, I cannot move down the bootloader menu as the keyboard is not activated. Therefore Linux automatically boots up.

How the hell can I get the keyboard active prior to the bootloader screen appearing?

Any suggestions gratefully received before I pull what's left of my hair out!

You will have to use wired keyboard...

If your bios has a legacy setting for USB then enable it and all will be OK.
