multi boot discs

i have just been installing norton system works and at the begining it say's it can not install norton go back it has detected multi boot disc's.what do i need to do so i can get it installed if possible any help please

i have two hard drive's one with xp pro and the other with xp64. there not much installed on either i reinstalled xp pro on friday and only put xp 64 in last week aswell.norton is the first main programme i've put in.other things are just driver's for the printer and sound card.

just a thought but have you tried disconnecting one of the drives to see if that works ie keep the one you use the most

what do you mean disconnect. unplug the drive from inside the pc or is there another way of doing this

when i unplug one of my drives i get the message boot disc failure. so i plugged that back in and tried the other and say's windows canot start. do you think i should format again start from the begining again

hmm you may have to change you bios to boot from one of you hard drive i am pressuming you know how to do this if not will help you

no that dont work "windows could not start computer disk hardware config problem. could not read from selected boot diskcheck boot path and disc hardware"if i unplug one i get this message if i unplug the other i get boot disc failure.when there both in there's no prob. anymore idea's or just dont install go back
