It seems as if Msconfig file is missing from my hard drive.
Tried sfc /scannow but did not work, looked in c:\windows\pchealth\binnary and file is not there.
Also system restore and system info files will not start, thay are on my hard drive but donot run.
One more thing help centre will not start.

So if any one can help please leave a message...thanks

Is the Help.ctr.exe in C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries?

  AndySD 13:06 04 Jan 2003

which operating system?

  wetterfugal 13:11 04 Jan 2003

I would think that msconfig is a 'hidden' file, try in explorer/View/folder options/View tab/ and click 'show all files'

The folder you are looking at is WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries? if so..

Fortunatley WinXP comes with lots of repair tools.

Last known good config is one as well as the repair console and the repair option. Rather than typing them all out click here and check each one out.
