On starting my computer running xp home
I look on the task manager and find a process called "mscc32.exe" has a cpu figure of around 98.
cpu usage is at 100% until I cancel this then it changes to 2-3%
It seems to have no effect when I cancel it
What is it/
and why is it using all my p4 3ghz cpu?

Thank you

Press CTRL-ALT-DEL -> Go to services and end the task mscc32.exe.

Then go to Start - Run and type RegEdit.
Search for MSCC32.EXE you will find it 4 times.
just delete these values.

Then go to windows\systems32 and delete mscc32.exe plus the MSCC32.ini file.
