Hello all, I have an old P2 350Mhz Packard Bell 2001v2Platinum system. I have replaced the CPU with P3 700Mhz FSB 100Mhz Processor. My AMI bios only allows me to go upto 550Mhz. Win ME and System Info picks it up as 700Mhz. My Question......is it actually running at 700mhz if bios only allows adjustment to 550mhz? One other question...MSI website has bios updates, but they are all Award bioses for this MB!! Can i flash the AMI bios with AWARD bios? I take full responsibility. My Bios info is:(via utility) rogram: eSupport.com BIOS Agent Version 3.62 BIOS Date: 12/18/98 BIOS Type: American Megatrends BIOS ID: 61-1218-001169-00111111-071595-440BX-1440B000 OEM Sign-On: A6119P2 V1.65 121898 Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 3 Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h OS: WinME CPU: Pentium® III (0.18 µm) With 256 KB On-Die L2 Cache 701 MHz BIOS ROM In Socket: Unknown BIOS ROM Size: Unknown Memory Installed: 383 MB Memory Maximum: Unknown ACPI Revision: 1.0
