MS XP and Vista

I am getting a new laptop shortly with the MS vista program. I have read that there are difficulties attaching older hardware to the new system. In many cases new drivers are not available, I have a Canon i865 printer and LiDe scanner, also card readers, Palm PDA etc.

Can I load my XP system onto my new laptop as well as the installed Vista Premium Home so that I can continue using my older equipment

click here and you will see Canon have Vista drivers for both the printer and scanner.

card readers will be no problem as they are simply USB.

The Palm will sync through Active Sync.

if vista loads similarly to xp you have to have xp loaded first then when you go to install vista it gives the option to dual boot. If vista is already on you will probably need a partition manager to create a new partition and allow you to install xp to it and then get a dual boot prog.
