I have recently reformatted and reloaded a P11/Win98 32mb Tiny machine after years of continous abuse by its owner. No attempt was made to 'Improve' the machine or system just format and reload, all the owners original packages. With exception of upgrading to IE6.
All goes well, speed and general performance, just like new. Except for one thing. MS Works includes in its package 'Calendar' a stand alone diary This item refuses to load and keeps coming up with the Missing files message Working on the assumption that when built the drives are 'preloaded' and the MS software Windows and MSWorks in its sealed packs come from a bulk supply. Perhaps the supplied disk is dud I had a go with another MSWorks disk - the same result. It all goes except for the 'Calendar' Item.
So I tried Calendar from the original disk, as a 'stand alone' item on my own Machine. [Athlone 1.4 256mgb - Win98SE Office 2000] - It works fine.
So why won't it go on the original machine.
