MS word - word count feature - specify count area?

I have a question about the word count feature in Microsoft Word. I am using the Word 2004:mac edition. I have the option to add a word count field to my documents, which updates automatically.

Does any one know how to set the word count field to count the words in a set style?

I'm not sure I have the question right, so for example I may have a title with a style called 'Heading 1' and then subtitles formatted to 'Heading 2' . The rest of my text is in the standard 'Normal' style. How do I get the word count to total up the number of words formatted in the 'Normal' style. I hope it makes sense, but I'll see if I can be a bit clearer.
