Hi

This is driving me nuts. I try and change the language for the spelling and it wont let me. For some reason its stuck on Welsh !

So I tried to locate the template (normal.net) and it isnt there ! I have looked where MS say it should be, done a search etc etc and drawn total blank. This is really becoming annoying.

Please help me before I trow myshiny new laptop out the window

Thanks

MrA (back again - did you miss me?)

It is normal.DOT

This is a hidden file - to enable viewing of hidden files and folders:

1. Click Start.
2. Click My Computer.
3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
4. Select the View Tab.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
6. Click Yes to confirm.
7. Uncheck the Hide file extensions for known file types.
8. Click OK.

Search for Hidden Files
By default, the Search companion does not search for hidden files. Because of this, you may be unable to find files, even though they exist on the drive.

To search for hidden or system files in Windows XP:

Click Start, click Search, click All files and folders, and then click More advanced options.

Click to select the Search hidden files and folders check boxes.

I think that the solution is fairly straight-forward. Learn Welsh!

Sorry, I'll have a look into this for you.

Thanks for this

BUT

I have tried to change it and it wont let me - rather I have managed to change it to English (US) but whenever I try and change it to English UK it goes back to xxxxxxxxx welsh again.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Check the keyboard language. Word is mostly influenced by the keyboard.
