MS Updates Downloaded But Not Installed

  Granger 10:30 16 Feb 2006

I have MS Updates set so it checks for updates automatically but doesn't download or install them till I confirm. Last night I said yes to download some updates (quite alot actually) but never got a message offering to install them (normally I would). So I've probably got a large amount of stuff downloaded but just taking up space on a fairly small drive. Anyone know how I can get the downloads to install?

Have you checked in add/remove to see if they're not installed. Plus you can see in Downloaded Intallations folder (WINNIT Folder/)

Thanks Michelle. I've been called away so can't check right now. Back later.

If you look on the PC Advisor home page you will see a report from MS on this problem and what to do about it.

Thanks for the help guys. I got back just now and there was the message "Updates are ready". Why it took 24 hours is a mystery, but they all installed fine as far as I can tell.
