ms copy to another drive?

my old hdd (e drive) is failing i need to copy all of its 'picture' directory with sub folders to another drive (f drive) i have created a folder in f called new. can somebody tell me the dos comand to copy all of e pixtures inc sub folders to the 'new' folder on f drive with the included switch for continuing if errors occur thanks for any help

Why not just drag and drop or copy and paste?

I'm still intrigued why the OP doesn't just want to do this with Explorer, as suggested by hastelloy.

The only way to satisfactorily achieve what you want is to use cloning/imaging software. Some of which is free and usually provided by drive manufacturers on their websites.

Don't even try dragging and dropping. It cannot possibly work as a lot of the most important stuff will NOT be copied across.

I have dragged and dropped many times without any problems. I regularly use this method for photo and video folders.

My mistake.

I, wrongly, assumed the OP was moving the OS from one drive to another.
